Almost half a century ago, Bernard Horton, an accomplished gun maker and sportsman, recognized that crossbows did not meet the needs of serious modern big game hunters. However, he realized that the crossbow had the potential to become an effective close-range hunting tool by today's standards.
Horton began experimenting with crossbow designs in his workshop, creating crossbows for his own personal use. The word quickly spread about his amazing new designs and it was then that the Horton legacy was born.
